The Hell - Taking A Decision With Less Data

Let me tell you a personal story, sometimes back I had offers from 3 companies and all three of them were one of the most renowned companies and it was so difficult for me to decide.

The reason was simple I did not had much data to decide, I had not worked earlier in any of them, reviewers on the websites were equally good and all three of them have some disadvantages too.

And there were these questions constantly running over my head:

What if I choose company C and later feel like company A would have been the better one?
I love company C but company B is offering me more money, what should I do?

Well, I took suggestions from a few of my seniors but they had their opinions and they also couldn't tell me what should I do.

So based on the very less data that I had, I took a call thinking that the worst that could happen is I will exit the company if I don't like it and join another one. And I choose the company that I liked instead of the one which was paying me more.

This was just a career switch, how about arranged marriage?

The situation is the same, you will have multiple options, and the ones you select among them will have many good points and some negative points.

And the worst part is data is even lesser, for the company I asked their current employer, and there are various websites.

Sure you can get a hint of background and stuff.

With whom will you ask about that person's behavior and personality?

Definitely not their EX or in the worst case current partner 😂

And you also cannot do what I did, the worst-case scenario analysis, because the worst case is that you might end up fighting that person legally.

So what options do you have?

you will most probably find a chart by "So Synced" with compatibility ratings as per your personality type.

Ask your partner to take the test and see if both your personality types are compatible.

I want this post to be action-oriented so I will not discuss about the personality types here, I will create a separate post for that.

CONCLUSION

The personality test will help you to take the decision but that should not be the only point, I am assuming that you would have already discussed future goals and likes and dislikes and then you are not able to decide if you should proceed forward
